A few specific fixes for goldstones.co.uk.

Goldstones Solicitors · Swansea · website rebuild

I rebuild small-business sites in my spare time when I can see they are leaving conversions on the table. Three things stood out on mobile after ten minutes on the current goldstones.co.uk: the 1953 heritage is hidden, every photo slot is a grey placeholder, and no page on the site has structured data. Below are the three findings written out, then a working rebuild you can click through.

Three findings · from the live site

A walk-through of the current goldstones.co.uk on 18 May 2026.

01

Seventy-three years on Walter Road, and the founding year (1953) is not on the homepage.

What I saw
The current goldstones.co.uk hero leads with a generic professional-services strapline. The 1953 founding date, the Cyril Goldstones & Co original trading name, and the line "the firm has always practised from offices in Walter Road, Swansea" are all on the About page, but not above the fold on the homepage. A first-time visitor arriving via Google for "solicitor Swansea" cannot see the most credible single fact about the firm without an extra click.
The rebuild
After rebuild: a hero strap that reads "Solicitors at 9-10 Walter Road, Swansea, since 1953." A founding-strip directly under the hero ("1953, opened by Cyril Goldstones, 73 years on Walter Road"). The year reappears typographically in the heritage block and once more in the footer. The single strongest line in the inventory finally leads the page.
Before / after
1953 mentions on homepage, 0 to 4.
02

Every photo slot on goldstones.co.uk is a grey SVG placeholder.

What I saw
A crawl of the homepage source shows every image element is a data-uri SVG placeholder ("data:image/svg+xml;base64,..."), tinted #cfd4db. There is not one real photo of Walter Road, the office interior, the team, Mark Davies, Lee Davies or Amy Stewart anywhere on the site. A prospect deciding between three Swansea solicitors cannot see a single face or door, so the page reads as either unfinished or generic.
The rebuild
After rebuild: a real shopfront photo of 9-10 Walter Road in the hero, a team headshot row for the three directors, a workshop / office interior shot for the heritage block, and named-solicitor portraits on the four service cards (Criminal, Family, Conveyancing, Wills). Every face on the page is a named, sourced person.
Before / after
Real photos on the page, 0 to 12.
03

No LocalBusiness, LegalService or Attorney schema anywhere on the site.

What I saw
A crawl of every page on goldstones.co.uk surfaces zero JSON-LD structured-data blocks. There is no LocalBusiness record for 9-10 Walter Road, no LegalService records for the four practice areas, no Attorney records for Mark Davies or Lee Davies, no AggregateRating tied to the 61 Google reviews, no FAQPage for the questions clients actually ask. Google rich snippets and AI assistants read schema first; everything Goldstones has built over 73 years lives only in human-readable prose.
The rebuild
After rebuild: Organization, LocalBusiness (one per office: Swansea, Bridgend, Blackwood, Merthyr), LegalService (one per practice area), Attorney (one per named solicitor), Award schema for the Legal Practice Quality Mark and Conveyancing Quality, FAQPage for the five most-asked questions. The 61-review credit becomes machine-readable. AI assistants begin citing Goldstones on "solicitor Swansea", "criminal defence Walter Road" and "conveyancing solicitor SA1".
Before / after
JSON-LD schema blocks, 0 to 9.

Next step

If the proposal lands.

If the proposal lands, reply with two or three 20-minute slots in the next ten days for a video call. I take on three Swansea builds this quarter, and first confirmed wins the slot. If I do not hear back by 28 May 2026, the proposal site comes down.
